URL Format Notes

  • • Replace [username:password@] with your actual credentials
  • • Replace 192.168.1.100 with your camera's IP address
  • • Remove brackets [ ] when entering actual values
  • • Some cameras may use different ports or paths - check your manual

Desktop Agent (Recommended)

Automatically discovers cameras on your local network

Setup Steps:

Common Issues & Solutions

🔍 Camera Not Found

  • Check camera is powered on and connected to network
  • Verify IP address in router admin panel
  • Try pinging the camera IP address
  • Check if camera is using DHCP or static IP

🔐 Authentication Failed

  • Verify username and password are correct
  • Check for special characters in password
  • Try accessing camera web interface first
  • Enable RTSP in camera settings

📶 Stream Quality Issues

  • Lower camera resolution and bitrate
  • Reduce frame rate (15 FPS is usually sufficient)
  • Check network bandwidth and WiFi signal
  • Use wired connection if possible

🔧 Advanced Configuration

  • Set up static IP addresses for cameras
  • Configure separate VLAN for cameras
  • Enable H.264 codec for compatibility
  • Use main stream for recording, sub stream for viewing
